This is a so-called “super-short” film with an interesting backstory. Our friend, Irina Danilova, is a great admirer of the number “59” and has performed numerous art pieces centered around it. Among other things, Irina organized a film festival for movies with a duration of exactly 59 seconds. She invited my wife and me to one such festival in London, and not wanting to show up empty-handed, I decided to make a film for it in just one day. Irina showcased her films in London, Poland, and then throughout Ukraine—in Lutsk, Kyiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv. Later, screenings followed in Sofia and Tel Aviv. I even submitted my film to several festivals, and it eventually won an award.
